Material and Composition:
• Abrasive: White corundum is used, whose main component is aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃), with a Mohs hardness of over 9.0, second only to diamond. It features high hardness, high wear resistance, uniform particle size, high compressive strength, strong chemical stability, low grinding heat, good thermal stability, and easy handling and processing.
• Backing: High-quality kraft paper is usually selected, such as 140-gram kraft paper, which has good toughness and strength, ensuring that the sandpaper is not easily torn during use and can withstand certain stretching and friction.
• Adhesive: High-quality adhesives are crucial to the performance of sandpaper. They can firmly adhere the white corundum abrasive to the backing, ensuring that the abrasive does not easily fall off during the grinding process. At the same time, they can also guarantee that the sandpaper has good flexibility and water resistance.
• Porous design: The “porous” structure of white corundum porous yellow sandpaper is one of its major features. These tiny pores are distributed on the surface of the sandpaper, which helps to remove grinding debris and heat during the grinding process, reduces the clogging of the sandpaper, improves grinding efficiency and quality, and extends the service life of the sandpaper.
